I love that I am able to form lasting friendships with many of my wedding clients. It means so much to me when they ask me to photograph important occasions in their lives after the wedding, such as a baby, an anniversary, or in this case, the launch of a fabulous line of handmade bags! When Heather and I first got together to talk about her November wedding last year, I think we spent just as much time chatting about Etsy and necklaces, and furniture and design (she and her husband are both architects) as we did about photography! I knew then that she had great style….what I did not know, was how very crafty she was with a sewing machine! This is a skill I greatly envy. Try as I might, I cannot even sew a straight line. This is unfortunate, because I’m obsessed with handmade goodies and fun fabrics and dream of whisking up a cute pillow, embellished t-shirt or purse on a sunny afternoon. Thank goodness for cool girls like Heather, who share their talent with the world via the online Mecca for all things crafty, Etsy! I am thrilled that Heather asked me to photograph some of her first products for her shop, and I’m drooling over all of the scrumptious designs and fabrics (Amy Butler, Heather Bailey, Joel Dewberry, I could go on….) So here’s a little sneaky-peek of the goodness that will soon be gracing the virtual shelves of Heather’s shop, SeamsMod. Be sure to check it out and support her business by treating yourself to one of these beauties:

And the face behind SeamsMod; Miss Heather herself! I love how these portraits capture her fun & vibrant personality!
