Well here it is, December 10th and I am finally back to blogging something other than holiday specials!! I’m kind of going to go out of order here (if my 5 or so blog readers don’t mind that, lol!) and start first with Adam and Khadja’s November 14th wedding at Champion’s Gate. This was such a beautiful and sweet wedding – a true coming together of two amazing families. When I first met Khadja over coffee to chat about her wedding, I was so impressed not only with her natural beauty, but with her vibrance and positivity – I mean this girl practically glows! She’s the kind of person who makes you feel prettier and happier just by standing near her. Fast forward to a few weeks later when I met her and Adam for their engagement session in downtown Celebration. I can say in all honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever met two people who were more made for each other. Over the months leading up to their wedding, and the interactions I had with them and members of their families, it became clear that Khadja and Adam are both one-of-a-kind (or would that make them two-of-a-kind?) people who greatly love and are greatly loved. And their wedding was just that – a celebration of love! The November day was perfect. Crisp, clear blue skies and a light breeze, as wedding guests arrived by the dozen to watch them start their new life together. As Khadja, who looked absolutely stunning, walked down the aisle, poor Adam just lost it (sorry Adam, hope you don’t mind me sharing!) He was so overcome at the sight of his bride that he just started crying and couldn’t hold back the tears. The ceremony was full of tradition and sentiment and included a sand ceremony between the bride, groom and officiant, who also happened to be Adam’s dad! After the ceremony, and the largest family portrait I’ve ever done, we headed straight for the part-tay. LOVED all the details at the reception- pink & white with lots of sparkle, so girly and fun!! After heart-warming toasts from parents and friends, plenty of cake-eating and dancing, Adam and Khadja did a “fake out” exit, drove around the block in their limo and came back to the hotel to do their portraits with us. This is one great advantage to having a daytime wedding! We had about an hour and half to just relax and walk around the hotel to get some amazing shots of the two of them. Adam and Khadja – I know you guys are so happy to be married! I wish you a long and happy life together, and lots of beautiful little babies…..one day! It was my absolute pleasure and an honor to be chosen as your wedding photographer!
And, their slideshow!
